BACKGROUND:

Alpha Data Utility, Inc. (ADU) has been supporting CICS/400 installations since 1994. CICS/400, now known as CICS Transaction Server for iSeries, is an implementation of the CICS API which is the most widely used transaction server for IBM mainframe computing. ADU leveraged its mainframe CICS expertise in the early '90s to develop a cross platform migration tool that allows a common code base to be used across differing CICS implementations. COBOL programs can be run through our translation utility and then be compiled natively to the iSeries, MVS mainframe, Windows, OS/2, and UNIX variants of CICS. This technique can be used in a production support environment as we currently do, or it can be used for a one time platform migration. We have provided support for multiple diverse iSeries installations using these tools and techniques for over a decade.

SERVICES:

Primarily ADU develops and provides services for our credit software clients. In the process of providing support to our clients we have developed an infrastructure to provide support for multiple remote iSeries CICS installations.
