| DATA BASE MARKETING SYSTEM |
|
|
| Driven by a three year sales history file the ADU Data Base Management System allows you to know your customer. The system input is the daily data collect file from POS. Each purchase and return transaction is combined with A/R demographic and financial information to provide a store of vital information. Online parameter screens allow you to query the data base and receive qualification totals within minutes. The system also stores 3rd party transactions in the data base and provides for entry of name and address. Output can be created on label, tape, PC Down Load, Ad Hoc List, or letters. For tracking purposes the system stores the mailing information until the sale event. As daily transactions are processed from the event period online statistic of results become available. Customers that responded to the mailing are logged by the system and stored in the data base. These responders are now selectable for future sale events. |
| The security tables are user maintained by system module. Each operator can be restricted to specific functions and can be provided tailored menus. Security tables can also be maintained at either the corporate or division level. |
| Online selection criteria allows you to target those customers most likely to respond to a sale event. Up to 10 sets of criteria per label request can be input. Each subset can then be matched against the other subsets in combinations of "and, or, not " logic. How many customers purchased white shirts in the last six months in the Florida stores but did not buy a tie? How many customers with an open-to-buy over $500 have spent at least $1,000 in the jewelry departments or the high fashion departments? These type questions can be analyzed online within minutes. If the analysis totals are not what is expected, modify the criteria until you achieve your expected results. The system allows you to set maximum label counts and to request an Nth sampling of qualified names. Other parameters include selection of top spenders by selection categories. Select the top 500 customers from the New Haven Store that have opened their account in the last six months and who live within a six mile radius of New Haven. These analysis tools can be used to create output on labels, tape, PC Down Load, Ad Hoc List, or letters, or strictly used to provide sales analysis. |
| When the sales event begins the ADU Tracking Module is automatically activated. Results are updated at your terminal as sales transactions are received. Results are provided based on categories you design online. Totals are provided by date range, time period, store , zip range, family of business, and merchandise categories - class, color, style, and sku. How many customers that received a catalog purchased blue slacks in store 004 on Friday between 4:pm and 5:pm? You can also optionally hold back an Nth sampling of accounts that qualified for your catalog and track their results. The system will then provide online comparison totals by solicited and non-solicited. All results are maintained online for yearly comparisons. |
| The ADU letter system allows a supervisor to design and create customized correspondence with over 40 A/R and bureau variables. Each target mailing request can specify that the output be created on a specific letter. The letters can then be printed inhouse or routed to a mailing service. |
