World famous Barneys of New York chooses to partner with Alpha Data Utility, Inc.




Barneys New York, Inc. is a world famous upscale retailer of men's, women's and children's apparel and accessories and items for the home. Elder-Beerman Selects the ADU Credit Card System




Elder-Beerman runs nearly 70 department stores, primarily in the Midwest. It also runs two furniture superstores. The department stores sells moderately priced apparel for the family, cosmetics, and home furnishings. Elder-Berman generally places its stores in smaller markets that have only one shopping mall. Formed in 1962 through the merger of Elder & Johnston Co. and Beerman Stores.






ADU, INC. announces ADUCS to run on Windows(1) based servers.


Dateline Hanover, MA January 2003:


Alpha Data Utility, Inc. a closely held Massachusetts corporation has announced a port of their flagship
software product "The ADU Credit System (ADUCS)" to run on Windows(1) based servers.

This exciting announcement paves the way for smaller credit providers to take advantage of the full benefits of
the ADUCS. This product also provides a path for larger sites to provide backup support to their customers in
the event of a downtime event with their primary computer system at a relatively small expense.

This port provides all of the functionality of the full system and is based on the same code base as the
mainframe versions of the product. CICS(2) API services  are provided by "CICS Transaction Server for Windows
Version 5(2)."  Sizing of the Windows(1) server will be based on data volume and concurrent user load.
Additional considerations should be made when the server is the primary provider of credit services as opposed
to a downtime backup provider.

ADU will make this version available as an object code only distribution, but will provide the option of a
turnkey installation or full custom installation. Price will vary accordingly. Certain restrictions may apply to
various configurations and inquiries should be forwarded to ADU. See the product information pages on the web

Friedman's Selects the ADU Credit Card System

Based in Savannah, Georgia, where their first store opened in 1920, Friedman's has expanded its operations from a privately owned family business to a publicly held company. Just 55 stores eight years ago, they are now the third largest jewelry chain in the industry, with more than 600 stores in 22 southeastern and mid-western states.
